Prospective Students

All students interested in attending the School of Pharmacy at The University of Kansas, on either the Wichita or Lawrence Campus, should first thoroughly explore the Pharmacy Program, Admissions and Curriculum information found on the KU School of Pharmacy Website. All students are then highly encouraged to arrange for a pre-pharmacy advising session. These sessions can prove very valuable in answering many questions that students may have about the curriculum and application process, as well as help ensure that a student has satisfactorily addressed all School of Pharmacy requirements at the time of application.

The Associate Deans, on both the Wichita and Lawrence campuses, are responsible for all pre-pharmacy advising and are available by appointment to meet with any student who has an interest in the KU School of Pharmacy program.

Prospective students interested in arranging a pre-pharmacy advising session with the Wichita campus should contact the KU School of Pharmacy-Wichita Student Services Office by email or phone at 316-293-3500, and ask to schedule a pre-pharmacy advising session Associate Dean Robert Emerson.

Prospective students interested in arranging a pre-pharmacy advising session on the Lawrence campus should contact the KU School of Pharmacy Dean’s Office by e-mail or phone at 785-864-3591, and ask to schedule a pre-pharmacy advising session with either Associate Dean Gene Hotchkiss or Associate Dean Ron Ragan.

As a convenience to students and parents, pre-pharmacy advising sessions can be scheduled with any associate dean on either campus, regardless of a students campus preference.
